Create a ceiling installation using tints and shades in the shape of a color wheel demonstrating good craft. Cut out a minimum of three, maximum of five, different shaped cutouts that will hang from a circular mobile at least 3 ft down at one point. Communicate an underwater world through the foliage at the bottom of the sea.
Wrapped Wire Jewelry
Prepare artwork(s) for display that demonstrate high levels of craftsmanship Demonstration on how to bend wire, thread beads, and attach stones Create an original piece of jewelry from the wire and stones provided that is capable of being worn. Manipulate the tools in such a fashion to achieve cleanly wrapped wire where the stone connects to the wire. Make a necklace, bracelet, ring, anklet, or belt chain.
Mapping Mayan Temples
Students will create a 3D model map of a Mayan temple with an inside representing things that represent them. Students will learn the significance of rituals in culture and how they leave marks that tell about them. Students will learn how civilizations are know for things that represent what is important to them through reflecting upon the empires previously covered.
Mongolian Masks
Students will understand that cultural traditions can be represented in different ways despite originating from a similar idea as other cultures Students will create a symbolic shield to represent family history. The student will create a painted shield with 3-5 metal symbols spot-welded to it.

Cardboard Dream House
Create original artworks that demonstrate the ability to adequately select, use, ad vary available tools. Create a representational topographical relief of a chosen location they have either drawn or found an image of out of cardboard pieces they have cut up and glued on top of one another in various sizes and shapes reaching at least 20 inches vertically or horizontally. Design the location based on a place they would like to or could visit on a dream vacation. Create a positive work space by being respectful and courteous to other students and the teacher as well as responsible with the classroom and materials provided.
